Convert now or every time
Convert one page on demand, or enable a site once and let yenlens handle every future page there.
Turn yen prices into their latest USD estimates on demand—or automatically on the Japanese sites you visit most.
Version 1.1.0 · Works in current Google Chrome

Example at ¥1 = $0.00611. yenlens fetches the latest published JPY/USD reference rate when it converts a page.
yenlens is distributed as a small unpacked Chrome extension. There is no installer, login, or setup wizard.
Download yenlens, then open the zip so you have a normal folder containing manifest.json.
Paste chrome://extensions into Chrome's address bar.
Use the Developer mode switch in the top-right corner of the Extensions page.
Choose Load unpacked, select the yenlens folder, then pin yenlens from Chrome’s toolbar menu.
Once installed, open the striped ¥ in your toolbar. Convert the current page, or turn on auto-convert for that site.
Download the zipNo copy-pasting into a calculator. No switching tabs. No permanent changes to the website.

Recognizes ¥, JPY, and 円—even when the number and currency marker live in separate HTML elements.
Prices loaded later by carousels, filters, and infinite scroll are converted automatically while yenlens is on.
Page contents are never uploaded. Manual conversion uses temporary access to the active tab; auto-convert requests access only for each hostname you explicitly enable.
